Seth Rollins Wins WrestleMania Main Event, Paul Heyman Turns On CM Punk And Roman Reigns

The road to WrestleMania has been full of twists and turns and it seems that Roman Reigns, CM Punk and Seth Rollins have been on a collision course. It was confirmed a few weeks ago that Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk would main event night 1 of WrestleMania 41, and there was a lot of anticipation heading into the show on Saturday night.

Seth Rollins entered first and he came out dressed in all black as he fired off a flamethrower. The lights then went out and when they came back on Rollins was wearing all white as he walked down to the ring. Roman Reigns entered second and didn’t get a special entrance.

Prior to CM Punk’s entrance a special video package aired which showed highlights from throughout CM Punk’s WWE career. Living Colour then appeared on the stage and they played “Cult of Personality.” CM Punk walked out with Paul Heyman by his side.

After the bell rang CM Punk rolled out of the ring and started a conversation with Paul Heyman. Reigns and Rollins then kicked off the match and Punk got in on the action shortly after. Rollins and Punk brawled into the crowd as Punk hit Rollins with a chair then Rollins hit Punk with a trash can. CM Punk ended up getting the upper hand and he suplexed Seth Rollins onto the trash can. Roman Reigns jumped over the barricade and took them both out.

The Tribal Chief cleared off the announce table while he continued to assault his opponents, but the action returned to the ring. CM Punk dominated the match for a few minutes before Roman Reigns connected with a Superman Punch on Punk for a two count. Punk locked in the Anaconda Vice on The Tribal Chief then Rollins came out of nowhere with a Frog Splash to break the hold.

Punk went for the GTS on Rollins, but Roman hit Punk with a spear. Roman tried for a spear on Rollins only for Rollins to counter with a Pedigree followed by a Stomp for a two count.

Roman Reigns connected with a spear on Rollins then Punk hit Roman with the GTS. The Tribal Chief kicked out at two. Punk went for the GTS on Roman again. Seth Rollins rolled back into the ring and hit a Pedigree on Punk, but Punk kicked out.

After Punk rolled out of the ring Rollins tried to convince Roman to team up to take Punk out. Rollins cleared off the other announce table. Roman Reigns looked very conflicted then told Rollins to pick him up. Rollins and Reigns then looked like they were going to team up for a Shield powerbomb, but Roman punched Seth in the face and powerbombed Punk through the table by himself. The Tribal Chief then powerbombed Rollins through the other table and threw him into the ring.

Roman Reigns connected with a spear on Rollins and The Visionary somehow kicked out. The Tribal Chief looked distraught then he set his sights on CM Punk. He threw Punk back into the ring and tried to choke him out while Heyman looked on. Punk got out and locked in the Anaconda Vice. Rollins got back in the ring then put Punk in the Sharpshooter.

The Tribal Chief grabbed Rollins as he applied the choke. Rollins reversed it into a suplex, but Reigns locked in the hold again. CM Punk hit the Stomp on Roman Reigns then a GTS on Rollins who kicked out at two.

Punk tried to lift Roman up for a GTS, but couldn’t get him up. He grabbed Rollins and went for the GTS on The Visionary. Roman hit Punk with a spear and Rollins hit Roman with the Stomp immediately after.

Paul Heyman grabbed a steel chair from the ringside area. Roman Reigns and CM Punk both looked at Paul Heyman. Punk called for the chair, and Heyman gave the chair to CM Punk.

Heyman then got into the ring and stood behind Punk. As Punk lifted the chair Heyman hit Punk with a low blow. Heyman looked distraught as Roman Reigns smiled. Heyman started screaming “You made me choose,” at CM Punk. The Wiseman handed the chair to Roman then acknowledged his Tribal Chief.

Roman Reigns unloaded on CM Punk with the steel chair. Heyman told Roman to direct his attention to Rollins. Roman pushed Heyman behind him then Heyman hit Roman with a low blow.

Paul Heyman picked up the steel chair and handed it to Seth Rollins. The Wiseman then sat down in the corner and looked on. Seth Rollins hit Roman in the back with the chair and followed up with a Stomp. Rollins then pinned Roman Reigns to win the match.

After the match Paul Heyman held up Seth’s hand then left with The Visionary.
