Seth Rollins Says Brock Lesnar’s Part-Time Status Is Slightly Insulting To Him

Brock Lesnar is the current Universal Champion, and if you watch Raw on a regular basis then you probably already know that means the show is basically without a champion.

Lesnar’s part-time status has been a hot topic for a long time, as some fans feel that Raw should have a champion who is on the show every week.

Seth Rollins addressed the fact that Brock Lesnar isn’t a full-time Superstar during an appearance on The Show on Rock 105.3, and he held nothing back while sharing his thoughts on the matter.

“From my perspective as a person who’s on every show, every week I’m out on the live events trying to bring people in to see shows, it’s slightly insulting to me that he’s our champion. He’s the face of our show, and he’s not at our live events. People who watch the television show they’re not getting the same thing when they come to the live events so it makes it hard for us as a team to sell tickets.”

Even though Brock doesn’t show up every week, Seth has been working hard to make the Intercontinental Championship as prestigious as possible, and he feels that it’s currently the top title on the red brand.

“I think the champion makes the championship and so what I do every week is try to be the champion that the show needs since the one we’ve got isn’t around to be that champion. So yes, to me the Intercontinental Championship is THE championship of RAW and has been for the last year cause that’s about how long Lesnar has been Universal Champion off and on.”

Despite not being all that supportive of his part-time status, Rollins praised Lesnar for his ability, and noted that he enjoys being in the ring with The Beast.

“He’s really good at what he does, there is a reason he’s Universal Champion. Sometimes it’s good business but he has earned the right to be Universal Champion and to do what he does and operate on his own schedule. I like being in the ring with him, that level of physicality brings out the best in me as well.”

It’s been rumored that Seth Rollins could end up facing Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 35, and it sounds like Rollins is more than ready to take on The Beast if WWE does decide to go that route.

Do you think Rollins is the right man to face Brock on the Grandest Stage of Them All? Sound off in the comments below.
