Roman Reigns successfully defended his WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Extreme Rules but after the match Seth Rollins returned to ruin Roman’s celebration.
AJ Styles and Roman Reigns put on an awesome match with lots of back and forth action in the main event. Roman Reigns put AJ Styles through two separate announce tables and both men took each other to the limit. At one point it looked like AJ Styles had the match won when he hit Roman Reigns with the Styles Clash on a steel chair, but unfortunately for Styles The Usos interfered and broke up the pin. The end came when Styles tried to hit the Phenomenal Forearm but Reigns countered with a spear to retain the title.
After the match Roman Reigns was celebrating in the ring with the title when Seth Rollins returned out of nowhere and hit him with the Pedigree. Rollins then grabbed the belt and held it above his head as the show went off the air.
Seth Rollins has been out of action since November after he was injured during a match overseas. He was the WWE World Heavyweight Champion at the time and he had to vacate the title because of his injury. Seth Rollins made his intentions clear at Extreme Rules and he’s back for the championship that he never lost.
