This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw kicked off in a big way as Seth Rollins made his return at the top of the show. Rollins last appeared on WWE programming back in April during night two of WrestleMania 40 when he dropped the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to Drew McIntyre.
The Visionary came out to a huge a reaction from the crowd. Seth stood in the middle of the ring and held up a mic while the fans sang his song. He then took off his hat and bowed as the fans chanted “welcome back.” Seth responded by welcoming the fans to Monday Night Rollins.
The former WWE Champion said that he’s back for one reason. He’s done it all, but he got into the business to be the best of all time, and he can’t do that without getting back the championship that he made, the World Heavyweight Championship. Seth looked up at two Money in the Bank briefcases hanging up above the ring. He said Money in the Bank is only a few weeks away, and he figures the Money in the Bank contract is the fastest way for him to get back in the mix.
Damian Priest’s music then hit and the current champion made his way down to the ring. He told Seth that he wanted to tell him straight up that he wanted to cash in on him for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship out of respect. Damian said it’s no longer Monday Night Rollins, it’s the show where all rise for El Campeon.
Rollins asked Damian Priest what kind of champions he wants to be. The champion told Seth Rollins not to worry about the Money in the Bank ladder match. Damian then offered Seth a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the Money in the Bank premium live event. Seth said if it’s that simple he accepts the challenge.
