There’s still a long way to go before WrestleMania 35 arrives, but the rumors are already making the rounds.
It’s rumored that The Rock is interested in wrestling a match at the big event, which naturally has caused people to talk about a possible match between Roman Reigns and The Rock.
Seth Rollins recently spoke to Sports Illustrated, and when he was asked about a potential Roman vs. Rock match he said, “I’d like it to be Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins.”
When asked how he feels about a potential Seth Rollins vs. The Rock match, he showed nothing but love for The Great One, but emphasized that he thinks WWE needs to move forward.
“That’s cool, too. Don’t get me wrong. I love Rocky. I think he’s great. Love everything he’s done for this business. But my gut, my first instinct, says we don’t need him. We don’t need him. If we’re not the guys who can main event WrestleMania, then how are we ever gonna be The Rock? How are we gonna be Stone Cold Steve Austin? We can’t hold onto these guys forever. We just can’t. To me, let’s do Seth Rollins-Roman Reigns before we do Seth Rollins-The Rock. That’s me.”
