A few months ago The Shield finally reunited, but unfortunately the reunion was cut short when it was discovered that Dean Ambrose was dealing with a triceps injury, and he was pulled from in-ring competition so that he could undergo surgery.
Fans have been patiently waiting for Ambrose to return, and during a recent interview with 94.5’s Mornings with Darren, Sherlin and Sibs, Seth Rollins said that Ambrose could return as early as late spring.
“[Dean] Ambrose is injured, yes. I don’t know the whereabouts or the details of his injury,” Rollins said via Wrestling Inc. “He had some pretty extensive triceps surgery earlier this year, so, he’s definitely still on the mend and rehabbing. But he’ll be back and better than ever, you wait, Summer time, maybe late Spring. Somewhere in there I think, whenever that wily guy gets back to normal.”
The good news is that it sounds like Dean Ambrose could be returning sooner rather than later, but the bad news is that it doesn’t look like The Shield reunion will be picking up where it left off.
When asked whether or not The Hounds of Justice would be getting back together again, Rollins said that they’re all on great terms, but they’ll most likely be doing their own thing once Ambrose is back in action.
