WWE Crown Jewel aired live from Perth, Australia on Saturday and Seth Rollins faced off against Cody Rhodes for the WWE Crown Jewel Championship in the main event. Ahead of the match Paul Heyman told Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker not to help Seth Rollins during the match even if he asks for an assist.
Early on in the match Seth Rollins started to get frustrated. He got in Michael Cole’s face and started to push him, but Cody Rhodes made the save. Shortly after Seth managed to make a comeback as he took control of the match.
At one point Cody Rhodes went for the Cross Rhodes, but Rollins reversed the move and hit the Cross Rhodes on Cody for a two count. Cody went for a Cody Cutter, but Seth dodged it then connected with a Pedigree followed by the Stomp. Rollins looked on in disbelief as Cody kicked out.
Seth Rollins left the ring and grabbed the watch that Cody gave him from the timekeeper’s area. He put it on his hand, but looked conflicted. Seth took the watch off and got back in the ring as Cody connected with the Cody Cutter followed by the Cross Rhodes for a near fall.
Cody Rhodes got his leg caught up in the top turnbuckle and Rollins went coast to coast as he connected with a diving headbutt on Cody. They ended up on the top turnbuckle and Rollins hit Cody with a Spanish Fly followed by the Manhandle Slam. The American Nightmare still managed to kick out.
Cody and Seth ended up on the top rope once again and Cody hit Rollins with the Cross Rhodes off the top for a two count. They battled back and forth for a while and Rollins grabbed the watch. The referee got knocked down as Cody went for the Cross Rhodes and Rollins hit Cody in the face with the watch. Seth Rollins connected with the Stomp then went to the middle rope. He hit another Stomp on Cody from the second rope then pinned him to win the match.
After the match Triple H gave Seth Rollins the Crown Jewel Championship belt and the ring. Rollins cut a promo then Stephanie Vaquer came out to hold up her Crown Jewel Championship alongside Rollins as the show came to an end.
