CM Punk made his return to WWE last month and he made his return to Friday Night SmackDown last week. During his appearance on SmackDown, CM Punk teased that he could sign with any brand including NXT, but declared that he would make his decision known on Raw. Punk later showed up at NXT Deadline the next night where he came face to face with Shawn Michaels.

This week on Monday Night Raw, Adam Pearce welcomed CM Punk to the ring, and Punk said he’s been thinking about his decision all week. He said he’s been consumed and worried about it because he loves the fans. Punk pointed out how he debuted with WWE in the same building Raw is in tonight. He said he was so good that WWE sent him to OVW, but he embraced being uncomfortable and later returned to the same building as WWE World Heavyweight Championship when he was stripped of his title.

CM Punk said that 10 years ago he had to take himself off the hamster wheel when he walked out. Punk then apologized to anyone who was disappointed by him walking out.

The Best in the World said Adam Pearce has put together a deal that is head and shoulders above what SmackDown and NXT offered him. He said he’s here to right some wrongs and his future starts now. CM Punk then congratulated Adam Pearce while telling him that the newest Raw Superstar is named CM Punk.

CM Punk told Pearce that CM Punk is home then he signed the contract. As CM Punk was celebrating Seth Rollins’ music hit and Rollins made his way out into the arena. Rollins threw his sunglasses off as he walked down the ramp while staring a hole through CM Punk.

Seth Rollins stood face to face with Punk to a loud reaction from the fans. Some fans started to chant for CM Punk, but those chants were drowned out by fans singing Seth Rollins’ song. Seth grabbed a mic and addressed CM Punk.

The Visionary welcomed CM Punk to Monday Night Rollins. He asked CM Punk to do him a favor and said “don’t you dare call this place your home.” The fans responded by chanting for CM Punk. Rollins told Punk he abandoned this place 10 years ago then tried to tear it down. He said Punk spent 10 years slandering him and the locker room, so this is not Punk’s home, it’s Seth’s home. The fans then sang Seth’s song.

Seth said Raw is his home and he will do everything in his power to protect it from people like CM Punk. Rollins then looked at CM Punk and said “I hate you, but if you’re going to be a part of WWE again, I want you on Monday Night Raw.” He said this is CM Punk’s last chance, so either he’s going to self destruct like he always does, or if he’s still got gas left in the tank maybe he’ll be lucky enough to stand across from him in a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match and he will show CM Punk what it means to be the Best in the World.

The two had a stare down as the fans chanted for Punk who asked Rollins if he was done. Punk said that was Seth’s one pass to talk to him disrespectfully without Punk coming after him. CM Punk then announced that he’s entering the Royal Rumble and when he wins maybe Seth Rollins will be the one he’s coming after.
