Last week the 2023 WWE Draft kicked off on Friday Night SmackDown, and Triple H started the show by announcing the first round of draft picks. The WWE Draft continued with night 2 on Monday Night Raw this week, and The Game kicked off the show once again.
Triple H made his way to the podium at the beginning of Raw and the new WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt was on display next to him. He welcomed the fans to Monday Night Raw. The Game announced that as a result of Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns being drafted to SmackDown, the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion will be exclusive to Monday Night Raw. He teased that a new champion could emerge from the Superstars who are drafted tonight.
Before he got started Triple H announced that Brock Lesnar is not eligible to be drafted because Brock renegotiated his status as a free agent ahead of night 2 of the WWE Draft.
Triple H announced that SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley was the first pick of the night and she would be drafted to Raw. It was then announced that United States Champion Austin Theory would be heading to SmackDown. Raw then selected Seth Rollins.
Charlotte Flair was selected for the Friday Night SmackDown brand and that was the last pick of the first round. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
