For months now the wrestling world has been talking about the possibility of CM Punk returning to WWE. On Saturday night CM Punk made his surprise return at Survivor Series and it seems as though not everyone is happy about it.
Seth Rollins has made negative comments about CM Punk in the past as he stated in an interview earlier this year that he doesn’t like Punk, and he advised the former AEW World Champion to stay away from WWE. Over the last few days video footage has been making the rounds on social media showing Seth Rollins shouting at Punk and giving him the finger from ringside when he returned at Survivor Series.
On Sunday night Seth Rollins successfully retained his WWE World Heavyweight Championship when he faced Drew McIntyre and Shinsuke Nakamura in a triple threat match at the WWE live event in Peoria, IL. After the match Seth grabbed a microphone and asked the crowd if they watched WarGames. The fans responded by chanting for CM Punk which prompted Seth Rollins to address the situation.
“You already know how I feel about that, I said as much last night. I’m not going to waste any more breath on somebody that has been gone for eight years, has done nothing but try and tear this place down.
“Instead, I’m going to take my time, waste my breath, use my breath to talk about the people who have been here all along. That’s all the people in the back who have made WWE the hottest ticket in town, and that’s every single one of you who are here tonight in Peoria.”
It was recently reported by Fightful that Seth Rollins isn’t fond of CM Punk, but many people suspect that he’s in work mode. CM Punk is currently scheduled to appear on Monday Night Raw, so it will be interesting to see if he and Rollins cross paths tonight.
