The first five picks in the WWE Draft were big and the surprises continued with the second round of draft picks. John Cena defeated Luke Gallows in the first match of the show and then Shane McMahon, Daniel Bryan, Stephanie and Mick Foley all returned to the stage.
Raw got the first pick of this round and Mick Foley announced that he was drafting former WWE Champion Roman Reigns to Raw. Shane McMahon then announced that he was drafting “the face that runs the place” John Cena to SmackDown.
Cena was a huge pick, but Stephanie and Mick Foley took things to the next level with their response. They announced that Brock Lesnar was heading to Raw and the crowd responded with a loud “Suplex City” chant.
Daniel Bryan then drafted another big name when he announced that Brock Lesnar’s SummerSlam opponent “The Viper” Randy Orton was heading to SmackDown.
Stephanie McMahon then responded by asking Mick Foley for a drum roll. Stephanie then told the crowd not to be sour and to clap their hands for the current WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day and she drafted them to Raw.
