Sean Waltman Says That John Cena Insisted On Putting Bray Wyatt Over

It’s been a big week for Bray Wyatt. Sunday night he won the Elimination Chamber match and he also won his first WWE Title. In the process Bray also pinned John Cena and AJ Styles clean and he looked stronger than ever.

On Tuesday night Bray Wyatt defended his WWE Title against AJ Styles and John Cena in a triple threat match on SmackDown and once again he pinned John Cena clean to win the match. Over the years fans have criticized John Cena for not putting over other talents on the WWE roster, but Sean Waltman recently noted on his X-Pac 1,2,360 show that he knows for a fact Cena insisted on putting Wyatt over on Tuesday.

“I’m not sure what the finish was supposed to be for the match last night. But I know this for a fact, that John Cena insisted on putting Bray Wyatt over again last night, insisted on it. That’s not just a rumor.”

For years fans have argued that John Cena should have put Bray Wyatt over when they faced off at WrestleMania 30. There’s no denying that a big win over Cena would have helped Bray climb up the card a little faster, but Cena’s efforts are still better late than never, as he played a big part in establishing Bray as a dominant champion.

Sean Waltman was backstage for SmackDown in Anaheim earlier this week and he caught up with AJ Styles while he was there. Waltman also noted on the latest episode of his show that Styles had nothing but good things to say about John Cena.

“He came up and he went, I was watching your show and he goes, I just wanted to tell you what you said about John Cena being the man and the best going, you’re a hundred percent correct. He goes, anyone that doesn’t agree with you, it’s because they don’t really know John Cena and have never been in the ring with him.”

There’s no denying that John Cena and AJ Styles have had some classic matches together over the past few months, but it looks like their feud is finally winding down.

John Cena is expected to team up with Nikki Bella to take on The Miz and Maryse at WrestleMania 33, and recent reports indicate that AJ Styles will be facing Shane McMahon at the big event.

AJ Styles has come a long way since making his WWE debut. He’s a former WWE Champion and he’s feuded with big names such as Roman Reigns and John Cena, but is AJ being buried? Some people out there seem to think so and we’re talking about it on this week’s episode of Still Real Radio which you can listen to below or on iTunes by clicking here.
