WrestleMania 33 has come and gone, and it was an interesting event for the Big Show to say the least. In the months leading up to the event, it seemed like Big Show was going to face off against Shaquille O’Neal, but the match never ended up coming together, so Show was added to the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
Prior to the event, Big Show said that WrestleMania 33 would be his last WrestleMania, and apparently he didn’t get the happy ending he wanted.
Big Show and Braun Strowman were the favorites to win the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, but they were both eliminated early on in the match. Something must have went wrong during the match because according to Sean Waltman, Big Show went off on a few guys while the match was still going on.
During the most recent episode of Sean Waltman’s X-Pac 12360 show, he talked about WrestleMania and he noted that Show got heated backstage.
“Before the thing was even over Big Show had a bunch of guys that were in the Battle Royal back in the back and he was going off… I think it was over the stuff with him and Strowman. Because they had a moment there and I think the moment got taken from them too quick.”
The big moment everyone’s talking about coming out of WrestleMania 33 is the epic ending. The Undertaker was defeated by Roman Reigns and then he said goodbye to the WrestleMania stage, presumably for the last time.
Everyone seems to be under the impression that The Undertaker is retired, but Waltman is not convinced.
“It never even occurred to me as we were talking (Backstage at the Hall of Fame) and I still don’t think it. I still think he’s coming back. I’m sticking by that… He’s going to go in, he’s going to have that surgery (Hip replacement) and he’s going to feel good and he’s going to go, one, two, (Kick out of pin motion) not today!”
