Scrapped Plans For Daniel Bryan At WrestleMania 35 Revealed

Bryan Danielson currently competes in AEW, but she spent many years working as Daniel Bryan in WWE. Throughout his run with WWE, Daniel Bryan was able to work with some of the most talented wrestlers on the roster, and at WrestleMania 35 he dropped the WWE Championship to Kofi Kingston.

Kofi Kingston picked up some major momentum on the road to WrestleMania 35, but it seems that there was another wrestler who was considered for the WWE Championship match on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg recently discussed the title match on his Oh You Didn’t Know podcast and he confirmed that there was talk of Mustafa Ali challenging Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35.

“It might’ve been — yeah, it was talked about (doing Daniel Bryan vs. Mustafa Ali at WrestleMania 35) and that’s probably what they’re referring to with the Daniel Bryan talking about Ali (coming to main roster) and stuff so yeah, there was talk about a storyline leading up to that. But yeah, so there was talk about that. Again, and that’s probably what they’re talking about.”

Ultimately Kofi Kingston went on to win the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35 in a match that received a lot of positive reviews from the wrestling community.
