Earlier this month it was reported that Scott Steiner was hospitalized after he collapsed backstage at the Impact Wrestling TV tapings in Georgia.
Steiner later underwent a heart procedure, but it seems that his recovery is going well. Over the weekend Scott Steiner made an appearance at a New Era Wrestling event, and he updated fans on his status.
While talking about his health scare Steiner noted that he doesn’t remember collapsing.
“A lot of people came to me, praying for me, give me their best wishes and I appreciate that, but I’ll tell you what, it happened on Friday night. I actually do not remember walking to the ring, talking, walking back to the ring [and] collapsing.”
Steiner went on to say that he dropped some math on the doctor after he told the former WCW World Champion that most people would have an eight percent chance of surviving the procedure he underwent.
“But as I was sitting on the hospital bed, the doctor came up to me and said, ‘the procedure that happened to you, [most people] would have had an eight percent chance of winning, of getting off the bed, of living.’ I said, ‘doc, every time I step in the ring, I have a 141 and two-thirds chance of winning. What do you think my chances are of jumping out of this business?'”
Stay tuned for more updates on Scott Steiner as they become available.
