The Revival Teases Jim Cornette As Manager At NXT TakeOver: Orlando

When Jim Cornette was announced he would be inducting the Rock n’ Roll Express into the WWE Hall Of Fame, the professional wrestling world was rocked for the lack of a better word. Jim Cornette is in Orlando and participating in several WrestleMania activities. Along the way, he had time to run into The Revival for a quick photo op.

Jim Cornette is set to induct the Rock n’ Roll Express in the WWE Hall Of Fame on April 31st. This will be the first time Jim Cornette has appeared on WWE television in a very long time, to say the least. A lot of people are wondering what he will say and during his speech, many fans, including everyone at Still Real To Us will be on the edge of their seats.

The Revival are set to take on The Authors Of Pain and Team DIY in what promises to be an epic elimination tag match at NXT TakeOver: Orlando on April 1st for the NXT Tag Team Championships. The event starts at 7:30pm, that detail is important to this story.

Scott Dawson from The Revival posted an excellent picture of the Top Guys with Jim Cornette with a very simple question attached: “You got plans Saturday.” Well, as it turns out, Jim Cornette does have plans. But his schedule seems to be free after the WCPW iPPV which is set to conclude at 3:30. This would give Corney plenty of time to get across Orlando for TakeOver: Orlando.

The Authors Of Pain are managed by another legend in Paul Ellering. If The Revival were to bring in Jim Cornette as their manager, it would certainly do a lot to even up the sides. What makes this story even more intriguing is the fact WWE’s official Twitter account retweeted Scott Dawson’s social media post.

This could just be a light-hearted tweet aimed at showing appreciation for Jim Cornette’s incredible contribution to professional wrestling. Then again, it could also be a tease of a very real possibility. Jim Cornette said in his podcast that there are no plans to work with WWE after Friday night’s Hall Of Fame ceremony. But, we can always hope to see Jim Cornette back in WWE in one way or another doing what he does best: managing outstanding heels.
