Things got pretty real in Japan last night when two popular female pro wrestlers got into an altercation. Although it seems like both of these women came away from this situation unharmed there could be big consequences due to this happening.

Dave Meltzer reported on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that 19-old-year female pro wrestling star Tsukushi tried to stab Kagetsu. Tsukushi is one of Ice Ribbon’s most promising young talents and this blemish on her record could greatly affect her in a negative way.

Although it was made it clear this wasn’t an actual stabbing, but just an attempted stabbing Tsukushi was still arrested following the scary event.

“So a wrestler named Tsukushi, she’s a women’s wrestler with Ice Ribbon she was at a place with Kagetsu who’s a women’s wrestler who works for a couple groups including Stardom. And Tsukushi tried to stab — you know we’re talking about — she tried to stab Kagetsu. This was earlier today actually, last night and the police came and Tsukushi was arrested. I don’t wanna say no one knows about it. But it’s not like it’s out in Japan. It will be now. But that’s what happened.”

It’s never a good time when someone pulls a knife out and tries to finish a disagreement with violence. Let’s hope for the best in this situation, but one young Japenese star might be paying for this action in a big way.

Japanese audiences could quickly sour on someone who stabs people. Her employer Ice Ribbon might not like this either. This is a very fresh story so no action has been reported yet. But trying to stab someone is not looked at too favorably and understandably so.

Only time will tell, but a stabbing is still a stabbing no matter what country you’re in.
