Sasha Banks might have been absent from the confrontation outside the Mae Young Classic where WWE’s Horsewomen squared off against Ronda Rousey’s crew. But that was only because she was in Australia and New Zealand at the time doing promotion for a WWE tour.
But Sasha is still a very important part of this feud between Ronda Rousey and WWE’s Horsewomen. The Boss recently spoke on the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast about Ronda Rousey and how she views a potential feud down the line.
“I feel like I keep hearing rumblings of that too, which is cool. It’s awesome, but we are The Four Horsewomen and they’re just fans. Yeah, and if they wanted to fight us, they need to get in the back of the line like everybody else, get a contract, train down at the [WWE] Performance Center, get on NXT, and try to get called up [to the main roster] just like everybody else.”
But in the end, as much as Ronda Rousey might have Sasha Banks’ respect, she said Rowdy Ronda will never be on The Boss’ level in the ring.
“She’s an amazing athlete. She [has] changed the game.” Banks said, “she’ll never be [on Banks’ level in the pro wrestling ring].”
Banks was also asked about the possibility of introducing Women’s Tag Team Championship Titles to WWE. Of course, Sasha was very interested by this idea and said the women in WWE do need that sort of thing to take the next step in the Women’s Revolution.
“I think the sky’s the limit. There’ll definitely be tag team champions. I don’t know. I honestly don’t know. Anything that we want to happen will happen. I believe that.” Banks continued, “I feel like that’s the next big thing. We need it! We need something else to fight for than just the women’s championship.”
