Originally Sasha Banks was set to challenge Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at the SummerSlam pay-per-view back in August, but The Boss was pulled from the pay-per-view. Becky Lynch ended up replacing Banks, and Lynch defeated Belair to win the title in a matter of seconds.

During a recent interview with the New York Post, Sasha Banks was asked why she missed the SummerSlam pay-per-view this year, and she refused to give up any details.

“There’s no reason. I’m not telling you anything. (Laughs). You’re not Oprah. You’re not the WWE Network, you’re not getting me the views. I’m not telling you my secrets. You can read my book. You can read my documentary when I want to speak about it. Thank you very much.”

Banks also talked a little bit about Becky Lynch’s return, and she praised The Man while saying that Becky makes her want to step up her game.

“It’s completely so inspiring. To see her come back looking better than she’s ever looked. And to put out a baby and have a six pack, you know she’s coming for everybody’s throat. It just really makes me what to step up my game because I have no idea what it takes to be a mother on the road. They all inspire me so much that they can just do all of this.”

Becky Lynch will defend the SmackDown Women’s Title against Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks in a triple threat match at the Crown Jewel PPV on Thursday, October 21.
