Saraya made her debut with All Elite Wrestling at AEW Grand Slam back in September and she recently returned to the ring when she defeated Britt Baker at the Full Gear pay-per-view.
For a number of years Saraya was known as Paige when she was part of the WWE roster, and she got know many of the Superstars in WWE. Recently the former Divas Champion appeared on Pro Wrestling Bits about the WWE roster’s reaction to AEW, and she noted that people seemed to be happy about the opportunities that a new wrestling company could provide.
“When I was backstage in WWE, I didn’t see people talking sh*t about AEW. People were just happy that there’s another place for people to go because when people would get let go in WWE, we’d be so devastated for people, you know what I mean? It’d be like someone just died or something like that.
Now, we’re just like, ‘Well, you have an opportunity in AEW now.’ We get happy for people that they have a place that they can go that’s just as big and just as goliath, just as gigantic, you know? Such a big platform.”
