The last few years have certainly been interesting for Saraya as she finished up with WWE in 2022 and went on to sign with All Elite Wrestling shortly after. The former WWE Divas Champion then came out of retirement a few months after joining AEW when she returned to the ring to face Britt Baker at the Full Gear pay-per-view.
Saraya recently reflected on the match while speaking with MuscleManMalcolm, and she noted that Britt Baker had to carry her through the match at Full Gear.
“You know, it was my first match back in like five years. I hadn’t really done enough training in my opinion, like Britt had to carry me big time. I was nervous, my wind wasn’t perfect yet. That’s one thing I wish I could go back and do again for sure, maybe we can run it back one more time.”
“Without Britt — I’m just so thankful for her because she was patient with me, she helped me, she talked to me throughout the whole thing. I felt like a deer in headlights.”
Saraya last wrestled inside an AEW ring when she faced off against Willow Nightingale, Jamie Hayter and Nyla Rose in a four way match on the 10/8/24 episode of Dynamite. Recently Saraya confirmed that she is officially done with AEW.
