Samoa Joe’s Replacement At WWE Live Events, Why Kairi Sane Hasn’t Been Wrestling

Samoa Joe has been riding a wave of momentum over the past few weeks, but unfortunately his momentum was halted when he suffered an injury during his match on Raw this week. Luckily Joe’s injury doesn’t require him to have surgery, but he’s been pulled from upcoming WWE live events.

The injury has come at a very unfortunate time for Joe, as WrestleMania season is quickly approaching, but it appears that WWE has found his replacement for the upcoming events.

F4Wonline.com reports that The Miz will be replacing Samoa Joe on some of the WWE live events, including the Madison Square Garden event on 3/16 where he will face John Cena and Roman Reigns in a triple threat match for the Intercontinental Championship.

Kairi Sane has been making a name for herself in NXT over the past few months, and at NXT Takeover: WarGames back in November she faced off against Ember Moon, Peyton Royce and Nikki Cross in a fatal 4-way match for the NXT Women’s Championship. In the end Ember Moon won the match, but fans have been wondering why Kairi Sane hasn’t been used since the PPV.

A fan recently asked Dave Meltzer about Sane’s status, and he noted that she’s currently “banged up” at the moment.
