Over the last few months WWE has suspended several Superstars from violating the company wellness policy, and now Samoa Joe is the latest star to be suspended.
WWE announced today that Samoa Joe has been suspended for his first violation of the company wellness policy, and his suspension went into effect on Monday, February 24.
WWE posted the following announcement:
“WWE® SUSPENDS NUUFOLAU SEANOA
STAMFORD, CONN., February 25, 2020 – WWE (NYSE: WWE) has suspended Nuufolau Seanoa (Samoa Joe) for 30 days effective Monday, February 24, for his first violation of the company’s talent wellness policy.”
Primo Colon and Robert Roode were both suspended for 30 days back in December due to wellness policy violations, and Andrade was suspended for the same reason last month.
Andrade is currently set to return to action at Super ShowDown on Thursday.
Samoa Joe returned to action in December after suffering a broken thumb back in September. Joe reportedly suffered a concussion during a match on the January 27 episode of Raw, and later returned then suffered a second concussion while filming a commercial for WWE.
