The last few years have been interesting for Samoa Joe as he made the shift to the commentary table, but WWE decided to release him following WrestleMania 37.
Joe was later brought back to the company to work as William Regal’s enforcer in NXT, and that led to him returning to the ring and capturing the NXT Championship once again. Unfortunately Samoa Joe’s reign was cut short when he had to relinquish the belt due to injury.
The former NXT Champion was released from WWE once again back in January, and after he was released he posted the following statement on Twitter:
“Extremely fortunate and grateful to all the young & amazing talent I had the pleasure of working with in the past months. Only saddened at the loss of an “excuse” to see their continued growth & achievement . I am very excited for there future,….. and mine 🙃”
Since then Samoa Joe has gone quiet on social media, but he recently broke his silence when he posted a tweet explaining why fans haven’t heard much from him.
“My lack of Twitter engagement is simply based on my increased general happiness. It’s amazing how much more hopeful you can be for the world when you don’t spend the morning reading the world most prolific idiots propped up by the algorithm.”
Stay tuned for more updates on Samoa Joe’s future as they become available.
