Throughout Samoa Joe’s time with WWE he’s taken on a few different roles. Originally he was working in the ring, but he transitioned to the commentary table before he was released following WrestleMania 37.
However, Samoa Joe wasn’t away from WWE for long after he was released, as he recently debuted as the enforcer for NXT General Manager William Regal earlier this month.
Samoa Joe is once again back on WWE programming, but he’s also working behind the scenes. During an episode of Out of Character with Ryan Satin the former NXT Champion revealed that he’s also working in the talent scouting department.
“No [reservations about returning], and a lot of it was that me and Triple H had spoken about this transition in-depth, and it wasn’t just coming back to NXT and being an enforcer and having a role on the show.”
“Now I’m working in the talent scouting department, working with Canyon Ceman, a few more administrative things here and there behind the scenes, so it’s a little bit of a transition for me to some of the other aspects of the business in WWE.”
