For some time now Samoa Joe has been a member of the Raw commentary team, and when he was recently replaced on the Raw after WrestleMania 37 some fans saw that as a sign that Joe could be returning to in-ring competition.
Whether or not he will be returning to the ring remains to be seen, but it doesn’t look like Joe will be returning to the ring in WWE, as the company announced today that he’s been released.
Earlier today WWE announced that Billie Kay and Mickie James had been released, and the company has since posted a new announcement confirming that Samoa Joe, Chelsea Green, Tucker, Kalisto, Bo Dallas and Wesley Blake have been released as well.
WWE posted the following announcement:
“WWE has come to terms on the release of Samoa Joe, Billie Kay, Mickie James, Chelsea Green, Tucker, Kalisto, Bo Dallas and Wesley Blake as of today April 15, 2021.
We wish them the best in all of their future endeavors.”
