In the weeks leading up to the Royal Rumble it was teased that there were some cracks in The Bloodline, and things finally fell apart on Saturday night at the Royal Rumble. After Roman Reigns successfully defended his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Kevin Owens in the main event he told Sami to hit KO with a chair, but Sami refused. Sami hit Roman with the chair instead which resulted in Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa beating Sami down as Jey Uso walked out.
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn is “now as confirmed as it can be” for the main event at the Elimination Chamber premium live event next month. It was noted that plans could always change, but under the Triple H regime WWE has been making less changes to planned premium live events.
Cody Rhodes made his big return to WWE on Saturday and he earned a title shot when he won the 30 man Royal Rumble match. There’s currently no word on what the men’s Elimination Chamber match will be for since Cody won the Royal Rumble.
WWE Elimination Chamber will take place on Saturday, February 18 from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
