Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have battled all over the globe. Friday night at WWE’s live event in Montreal the two old friends got to headline in front of people who have watched them since the beginning. The match included a great set up and table spot, but the table didn’t seem to realize it. Some might call this a Botchamania moment, but it was still a great high-spot.
After the match, Kevin Owens walked up the ramp as Sami Zayn stayed in the ring. The Underdog From The Underground gave a heartfelt speech to Kevin about their history together. The hometown crowd ate it up and it was a sight to be seen.
The two men really have fought all over the world. Their matches in Ring Of Honor were spectacular, to say the least. Since the two joined NXT and WWE’s main roster they have met time and time again.
There is a reason why people chanted “Fight Forever!” in the midst of so many of their battles. WWE Shop also produced a t-shirt of the two which had the famous chant on it. Although they might have said so many times Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens are having their final battle, they keep finding their way back to each other.
They have wrestled in barns, bars, and bingo halls. Now the two Canadians have found their way on the WWE and they’re killing it. Sami Zayn might not be getting that push he deserves and reports are when Finn Balor and Seth Rollins come back he’ll be greatly pushed back as a top face. But a groundswell of support could always change that. When’s the last time you heard a good “Ole” sing-song chant on Raw?
Sami Zayn doesn’t have a spot at WrestleMania yet although he might just be an entrant in the Andre The Giant Battle Royal. But, in 2017 Montreal was his WrestleMania and he spent it wrestling a good friend and a better foe.
