Wrestling isn’t ballet folks, and over time all of the bumps and bruises can take a real toll on your body. No one knows that better than former ECW star Sabu.
Sabu has wrestled in some of the most extreme matches ever created, and now he’s asking fans for a little help raising money so that he can get his hip repaired.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help raise money for Sabu. As of this writing the campaign definitely needs a boost as it has yet to raise $1,000 and the goal is $50,000.
According to the description on the GoFundMe page Sabu plans to get back into the right after he has the surgery.
If you would like to donate you can do so by clicking here, and you can read an excerpt from the campaign’s description below.
“This is a fundraiser for Professional Wrestler Sabu to help take care of the medical expenses to repair his left hip, Sabu has back and shoulder issues as well, but his left hip has been an issue for the past few years, and is now such a problem that he can hardly sleep, and walks with a visible limp. His work in the ring is of course being adversely affected as well, which pains him even more as he takes pride in his work and his ability to entertain the fans.
Your donations will be used for Sabu to get his surgery, which includes: Pre-operational procedures, the surgery itself and post-operation requirements; including physical therapy. Thousands of dollars have already been spent on getting consultations, X-rays, injections and other medical attention to help with his hip without surgery.”
