Rob Van Dam has been in the professional wrestling business for a long time, but no one can wrestle forever and everyone’s run comes to an end sooner or later.
It’s safe to say that there are many fans out there who would love to see RVD go out with a big retirement match, but it seems that RVD himself isn’t as enthusiastic about the idea.
When asked if during an interview with Tibaud Choplin whether he thinks he will fade away or go out with a big retirement match the former WWE Champion said it could go either way.
“I could see it going either way. I don’t think I have a preference. The one thing about having a retirement match that would be appealing would be if it was built up and it was a good payday. Otherwise, I don’t give a f*ck.”
Rob Van Dam turned 50 earlier this month, and during an interview earlier this year he indicated that he will likely retire before he turns 51. Whether or not that will actually happen remains to be seen, but one way or another it seems that RVD is getting ready to hang up the boots sooner than later.
