The Raw after WrestleMania is always one of the biggest shows of the year and fans were hoping to see some surprises heading into the show. The New Day won the WWE World Tag Team Championship during night 1 of WrestleMania 41, and they made their way down to the ring on Raw to talk about the big victoru.
Kofi said there’s no tag team alive that’s better than The New Day. American Made came out and Maxxine Dupri challenged The New Day to face Akira Tozawa & Otis.
The New Day got heated and they agreed to the match. A referee ran down to the ring, but the lights went out as the match was about to start. All of a sudden Rusev’s name popped up on the screen and the former United States Champion returned with a new entrance theme.
Rusev got in the ring and The New Day immediately retreated. He set his sights on Tozawa and Otis then destroyed them. Rusev locked in the Accolade on Otis then stood up and celebrated as the fans chanted “Rusev Day!”
