Rusev Day is all the rage right now, and WWE recently announced that Rusev would be heading to Saudi Arabia to face The Undertaker in a casket match at the Greatest Royal Rumble event on April 27, but today the match was changed.
Rusev has been pulled from the match and replaced by Chris Jericho, and according to WWE.com he was pulled because Lana refused to let him compete in a casket match.
However, WWE’s lack of support for Rusev Day has some wondering why Rusev was really pulled, but nonetheless we won’t be seeing The Bulgarian Brute go one on one with The Deadman.
Shortly after the change was announced, Rusev took to Twitter to post the following cryptic message:
Some big changes have been going down in the world of professional wrestling this week, as Impact Wrestling recently announced that Alberto El Patron had been fired, and earlier this week two Lucha Underground stars parted ways with the company.
Angelico and Jack Evans confirmed via social media that they are no longer working with LU, and Evans told a fan on Twitter that an argument with Ivelisse played a big part in him leaving the company.
