This week’s episode of SmackDown Live featured more qualifying matches to determine who will compete for the Money in the Bank briefcases next month, and a few of SmackDown’s finest secured their spots.
The Miz took on Jeff Hardy in a qualifying match, and after Jeff hit the Swanton Bomb it looked like he had the match won, but at the last second Miz reversed the pin to win the match.
Charlotte Flair later defeated Peyton Royce to secure her spot in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
This week’s main event saw Daniel Bryan faced off against Rusev in the main event, and throughout the match Bryan was selling that his ribs were hurt following the beating he took at the hands of Big Cass at Backlash on Sunday.
The end of the match came when Rusev hit Bryan in the ribs with his knee, then he followed up with a Machka Kick to put Bryan away.
