We’re only a few weeks away from the WWE Evolution pay-per-view, and even though the focus has been on the women’s division as of late, one key player has been missing.
Sasha Banks hasn’t appeared on Raw in a few weeks, and she was pulled from Mixed Match Challenge.
Not much is known about Sasha’s status at the moment, but according to Joe Peisich of Barnburner’s Fired Up podcast, the former Raw Women’s Champion is taking a break (via Ringside News).
“What’s going on with Sasha Banks? Did Sasha Banks pull a Shawn Michaels and take her ball and go home? I have heard, I can’t confirm because the only person that can confirm it is Sasha and I haven’t talked to her but I have heard that she just needed a break. A mental break or whatever. She just needed a break. What does that mean? I don’t know. How are the other ladies looking at that, I have no idea but she needed a break and all that.”
There’s currently no word on when Sasha Banks will be returning.
