This week on Monday Night Raw, Kevin Owens challenged Seth Rollins for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, but Rollins managed to pick up the victory and retain his title.
After the match was over, Kevin Owens sat in the ring and then uttered the words “I quit” before walking out of the arena.
The segment left fans wondering what’s next for Owens, and it sounds like WWE could have some interesting plans for the former Universal Champion.
According to Joe Peisich of Barnburner’s Fired Up podcast, Kevin Owens could be paired with Paul Heyman when he returns to TV.
Owens obviously doesn’t need help when it comes to his promo skills, but Peisich noted that he was backstage at Raw this week and heard that Kevin Owens will be silent when he returns, and Paul Heyman will do all the talking for him.
Whether or not Heyman and Owens will actually end up working together remains to be seen, but it could certainly be an interesting pairing for both Heyman and Owens if WWE officials decide to pull the trigger.
