Kurt Angle officially made his return to the ring when he teamed with The Shield at the TLC pay-per-view last year, and even though he’s currently the General Manager of Raw, he could step back into the ring at any time.
With WrestleMania right around the corner it’s expected that Angle will be wrestling at the big event. It’s believed that WWE officials are looking to put Ronda Rousey in a mixed tag team match against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, and The Rock is said to be at the top of WWE’s wish list for potential names to team with Rousey.
Kurt Angle’s name has also been thrown around, but now it looks like there might also be another idea on the table for the WWE Hall of Famer.
WrestleVotes is reporting that a potential match with Seth Rollins is being considered for Kurt Angle, and Braun Strowman’s name has been discussed in regards to potential partners for Rousey if The Rock can’t make it.
Regarding Rousey and Mania: WWE wanted The Rock as her partner, obviously. Whether he's doing it or not, we'll find out. The other choice was initially Angle but it looks like that changed. Source says Rollins vs Angle more likely. If no Rock, Strowman's name has been discussed.

It seems that plans have had to change several times for Seth Rollins, as it was originally rumored that he would be facing Dean Ambrose before Ambrose was injured. Rollins vs. Jason Jordan then became the back up plan, but now Jason Jordan is out of action, and Kurt Angle recently confirmed that he’ll be missing WrestleMania this year.
