WrestleMania season will be here before we know it, and it’s been reported that WWE officials are hoping to book The Rock for a big match at MetLife Stadium in 2019.
Originally it was rumored that there was talk of The Rock facing Roman Reigns at the event, but with Roman taking time off to battle leukemia, there’s no telling if he’ll end up being a part of WrestleMania at this point.
Joe Peisich of Barnburner’s Fired Up podcast recently addressed The Rock’s status for WrestleMania 35, and he noted that one idea being considered would see The Rock face Bobby Lashley (via Ringside News).
“You may ask who would The Rock take on? Well, several sources have said that The Rock — if he does have a match could end up being — and this is huge if this does happen… Bobby Lashley.”
At this point it’s not clear if Rock will indeed end up wrestling at WrestleMania 35, but if he does then a match with Bobby Lashley will surely get people talking.
