WWE made a huge announcement earlier this week when it was confirmed that WrestleMania 36 will take place from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.
The company also issued the following statement saying that the annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony will not take place as scheduled:
“The WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony and NXT TakeOver will not take place as previously scheduled. We will share further details as they become available.”
It was announced last week that The British Bulldog will be part of this year’s Hall of Fame class, and his daughter Georgia Smith, is claiming that WWE told her they hope to hold the ceremony as part of the SummerSlam festivities this year.
“Just a heads up! I have spoken with @WWE and they are postponing the Hall of Fame for a later date, and are hoping to do it for Summerslam (which would be appropriate for my dad) thanks again for all your support! Let’s all stay safe out there🇬🇧”
At this point WWE has yet to confirm when the induction ceremony will be held.
Stay tuned for updates.
