Dean Ambrose has unfortunately been out of action for all of 2018 so far, but fans are anxiously waiting for his return.
After undergoing surgery to repair a triceps injury, Ambrose has spent a great deal of time rehabbing the injury this year, but it sounds like he’s getting closer to returning to the ring.
Bryan Alvarez recently talked about what could be in store for Dean Ambrose on Wrestling Observer Live, and he noted that a Rollins & Ambrose reunion is being discussed (via Ringside News).
“Plans change all the time but from what I’ve heard it’s probably going to be Gable and Jordan and Rollins and Ambrose as teams and not Rollins and Jason Jordan. But who knows what they’ll do?”
If WWE decides to pull the trigger on reforming the two teams it could happen on the road to SummerSlam or shortly after the event.
Before he was pulled from action due to injury, Ambrose and Rollins were working well as a team.
Jason Jordan took Dean’s spot when Ambrose was pulled from action, but Jordan was later pulled from in-ring competition so he could undergo neck surgery.
With both stars potentially returning in the weeks to come, it sounds like business could pick up for the tag team division if WWE does decide to reunite Rollins & Ambrose and American Alpha.
