Shinsuke Nakamura turned heel after AJ Styles defeated him at WrestleMania 34 when he hit Styles with a brutal low blow.
Ever since then, Nakamura has been chasing AJ’s WWE Championship, and he’s been using the low blow on a regular basis.
Styles and Nakamura faced off once again at Backlash, but the match ended in a draw after both men hit each other with a low blow and they failed to reach their feet by the count of 10.
The finish was criticized by fans, and it sounds like fans who were unhappy with the finish may be disappointed when Styles and Nakamura face off at Money in the Bank next month.
This time around they’ll be facing off in a Last Man Standing match, but it was recently reported on Wrestling Observer Live that another double low blow is one idea that’s being considered for the finish.
Nakamura has fully embraced his heel character as of late, and he’s adopted the catchphrase “no speak English.”
Shinsuke recently signed a fan’s Funko Pop figure at Mega Con in Orlando, and he kept things kayfabe when he inscribed his catchphrase on the top of the box.
