Cody Rhodes successfully defended the Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens on Saturday night, but Kevin Owens took their feud the next level after the match when he hit The American Nightmare with a package piledriver.
As Cody Rhodes was being stretchered out of the arena Triple H confronted KO and they got into a physical altercation. The physical altercation led to some speculation among fans that WWE might be planning something more with The Game and The Prizefighter in future, but that’s not the case.
Dr. Chris Featherstone is reporting that the physical altercation involving Triple H and Kevin Owens was simply done to elevate Kevin Owens as a heel. There are no plans for Triple H to return to the ring.
Triple H officially announced his retirement from in-ring competition back in March of 2022 due to issues with his heart. He went on to leave his boots in the ring at WrestleMania 38 and has since indicated that an in-ring return is simply not in the cards for him.
