The stars of WWE recently traveled to Saudi Arabia for the Greatest Royal Rumble, but the event was surrounded by controversy due to the fact that the female WWE Superstars weren’t allowed to participate. Following the event, Corey Graves took to Instagram to post a photo with the following caption: “A drink to remember that no matter how bad WE think we have it, at least our women have rights and we all have freedom of expression.”
It was recently reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there was backstage heat on Graves due to his comments. The report also noted that some feel Graves is “more replaceable than he thinks he is” but now a conflicting report is claiming that’s not true.
According to WrestleVotes, Graves is seen as a big part of WWE TV, and is liked by just about everyone.
One way or another, it seems that there were a lot of people that were upset about the fact that women weren’t allowed to compete in Saudi Arabia, but according to Triple H there’s hope that could change in the future.
