CM Punk has been one of the most talked about wrestlers in the industry for decades now and recently there’s been a lot of talk about Punk’s contract status with WWE. It’s been rumored that Punk has been negotiating a new contract with WWE which has led to a lot of speculation regarding his current deal.
PWInsider is reporting that claims of CM Punk signing a short term deal when he returned to WWE last year aren’t true. Numerous sources reportedly confirmed that CM Punk signed a three year deal that will keep him with WWE through November of 2026. It’s not known if WWE could add time to the deal due to the time Punk missed because of his injury.
It’s also being reported that WWE were the ones who approached CM Punk about working out a new deal. Multiple WWE sources confirmed that they are trying to lock in a “bigger” deal and that the talks were initiated by the company, not CM Punk.
When a WWE source was asked why they would initiate contract talks when they already have CM Punk locked in they said, “New world. Huge numbers. Merch and socials.”
Stay tuned for more updates on CM Punk’s contract status as they become available.
