It’s been a while since fans have seen Brock Lesnar perform inside the squared circle as he last made an appearance on WWE programming when he dropped the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36.
There have been some rumors going around claiming that Brock Lesnar is AEW bound, but the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that there is no truth to the rumors at this moment. It’s also being reported that AEW President Tony Khan has never had a business discussion with Lesnar and people close to Brock Lesnar are saying that reports of him signing with AEW are 100% inaccurate.
It’s also being said that unlike CM Punk and Daniel Bryan, the cost to get Brock Lesnar wouldn’t make economic sense for All Elite Wrestling.
It’s believed that Vince McMahon would go above and beyond to keep Brock Lesnar due to plans for a future Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar match at WreestleMania in the next few years. Lesnar has not signed a deal with anyone, and he is not in negotiations with WWE because of the timing.
The idea is that he would likely make a deal for a Mania between 2022 and 2024, and it’s not smart to sign now when the competition would likely only increase his value and the money he could get in the future.
