You never know what can happen in WWE and the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble is about to take the cake in a very big way. After all, there are 30 spots in the big match and barely 20 women on the current WWE main roster.
Therefore, like with every Royal Rumble, there are some surprises expected but seriously, 10 surprises? After so many jaw-dropping moments fans might need to wear a face cage like Dash Wilder for a couple of months.
If you were wondering who the surprise entrants are going to be, so are we because that’s why they’re called surprises. But Paddy Power, the online sports betting website has some early odds for the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble that might give a clue of who is most likely to show up on the list.
While Asuka is the overwhelming favorite to win because nobody’s going to be ready for her, it’s very interesting to note Ronda Rousey is second most likely to be pulling down a big match at WrestleMania 34 against the champion. Rousey was expected to be in Columbia shooting a new Marky Mark movie but maybe there’s a very good chance WWE can pull something together. They are a billion-dollar company after all and one of the marquee matches for their biggest show of the year could depend on the Royal Rumble’s outcome so they might be able to arrange something.
Another interesting fact is that Natalya, Brie Bella, Beth Pheonix, Trish Stratus, Lita, and AJ Lee are all sitting at the same 25/1 betting odds with Stephanie McMahon and Alexa Bliss ranking with 5 points better. Some of those names aren’t current Superstars and the fact Stephanie McMahon’s name is in consideration is just a scary concept to me. Nikki Bella is also listed and her odds are pretty remarkable at 10/1.
I’m also not saying this is a sign AJ Lee will pop up in WWE for a one-time appearance but it would certainly be welcomed if she did. Philly loves themselves some crazy after all. It would also give her a great chance to enjoy some of the fruits of all her hard work.
All in all, it is an interesting set of numbers with other alumni such as Michelle McCool, Stacy Kiebler, and Torrie Wilson listed as well as Maria Menounos. The safest money appears to be on Asuka and Ronda Rousey with Paige, Becky Lynch, Nia Jax, and Nikki Bella rounding out the top of the list. But it’s still intriguing to see who we might see surprise us in Philly on the 28th.
