Royal Rumble Match Moved To Kickoff Show, Hall Of Famer Possibly Working Angle

WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler recently signed a new contract with WWE and he also recently returned to television when he brought the King’s Court to SmackDown. Jerry Lawler’s guest was Dolph Ziggler, and hisinterview with Dolph didn’t go so well, because Dolph went off the deep end and hit Lawler with a superkick.

Jerry Lawler will be a part of the Royal Rumble this Sunday, as he confirmed that he’ll be working as part of the pre-show panel, and he’s also set to call the 30 man Royal Rumble match. The Wrestling Observer notes that it’s likely we will see the feud between Lawler an Ziggler continue at the Royal Rumble.

On the most recent episode of SmackDown it was announced that SmackDown Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss will team up with Natalya and Mickie James to take on Nikki Bella, Becky Lynch and Naomi at the Royal Rumble. It’s now been announced that the six person tag match will be part of the kickoff show.
