John Cena’s retirement tour has officially come to an end, but the last few matches certainly ones to remember. Last month Cena defended his Intercontinental Championship against Dominik Mysterio at Survivor Series, and it was Dominik who ultimately picked up the victory to win the title for the second time in his career.
The match featured appearances from every member of The Judgment Day as Roxanne Perez hit John Cena with Pop Rox, and Raquel Rodriguez, Finn Balor, JD McDonagh and Liv Morgn also got physical with Cena.
During an interview with Metro, Perez noted that John Cena was the one who suggested he take the moves when she said it, “actually was all [Cena’s] idea,” because he wanted the members of The Judgment Day, “to be a part of it.”
“I wasn’t entirely sure if he would want to take a finisher from me because of how small I am,” Perez said. “And I wasn’t sure if he would want to take a Powerbomb from Raquel Rodriguez, but he was all for it!”
Roxanne Perez also reiterated that she’s hoping to face off against AJ Lee in a dream match someday, but if it doesn’t happen it might be CM Punk who ends up getting hit with Pop Rox again.
“I’m constantly telling [AJ], ‘I can’t retire until I have a match with you.’ We both want to make it work, so you never know. I really hope, and I’m manifesting, that it’ll happen, but I’m just excited to see her back. If I can’t get AJ, I’m gonna Pop Rox CM Punk as much as I can!.”
