Ronda Rousey’s Full Time WWE Status Could Bring Exciting Outcomes

Ronda Rousey is in WWE and it is indeed an exciting deal for everyone involved. The fact is that Rousey’s signing will fall in perfect line with the upcoming television negotiations that WWE is about to go through in 2019.

With someone like Rousey on the roster, it makes the idea of selling the WWE product a much easier one. After all, even though she proved herself to be valuable in a different arena, she will still be more than worth the price of her WWE contract in the long run.

The subject of what Rousey’s full-time contract could mean was brought up on Wrestling Observer Live where Dave Meltzer discussed the idea of not only what it took for Rousey to make the big Philly show, but also what it could mean for WWE to have Rousey as a full-timer.

“I’m not saying that they knew but this is not something we haven’t talked about over and over again. She wasn’t in the Rumble but the fact is that she was there to do something to set up Mania, but she went to great lengths including going to Colombia and leaving like the day before. She left like 24 hours before to get there.”

“Now everybody’s got this story of her signing a contract. Obviously, this deal was put together a long time ago. She’s been training since last summer. I don’t know when pen went to paper on this but I knew last summer that she was going in.”

Later on, it was speculated that if Ronda Rousey is indeed a full-time WWE Superstar then that could mean she will be making more television and possibly even making a house show or two along the way.

“Now they’re saying that this is a full-time wrestling deal for multiple years it is interesting because I was told she was going to do the wrestling for a while and she wanted to have kids and start a family.”

“But I don’t know if full-time means going on the road and doing that wrestler’s schedule and in a sense, I don’t know if that’s a good thing, or it’s just the Lesnar schedule — the Lesnar schedule makes no sense for everyone involved. And there’s a lot to this. She said she could make more money doing other things — obviously fighting.”

“She wants to do this, she likes it. That’s all.”
