It’s been a while since fans have seen Ronda Rousey make an appearance on WWE programming, but recently the wrestling world has been buzzing as it’s been rumored that the former Raw Women’s Champion could be returning.
On Saturday night the Royal Rumble pay-per-view aired live from The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, and Ronda Rousey made her return during the women’s Royal Rumble match when she entered at number 28. Ronda eliminated Nikki A.S.H. pretty much immediately then focused her attention on The Bella Twins. Brie Bella eliminated Nikki then Ronda focused on Brie and eliminated her.
The final four came down to Ronda Rousey, Charlotte Flair, Shayna Baszler and Bianca Belair. Shayna Baszler and Bianca Belair were fighting near the ropes when Charlotte Flair eliminated them both.
It came down to two and the fans in St. Louis got loud as Flair and Rousey faced off. Charlotte charged at Rousey and Rousey threw Charlotte over the top rope to win the match. Charlotte looked shocked on the outside as Ronda celebrated in the ring.
Prior to her return during the Royal Rumble match Ronda Rousey last competed when she defended the Raw Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch in the main event of WrestleMania 35. Becky Lynch managed to pin Ronda Rousey to win both the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championship on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
