For years now people have been talking about Ronda Rousey possibly joining WWE, and after all the rumors, speculation and hype, it looks like Rousey is finally going to step into the ring and wrestle.
The historic first ever women’s Royal Rumble match aired on the WWE Network on Sunday night, and in the end it was Asuka who won the right to challenge for a title at WrestleMania.
After Asuka won the match, Charlotte and Alexa stood in the ring as they waited to see which champion Asuka would be challenging at WrestleMania.
But before Asuka could give her answer, Ronda Rousey entered the arena and surprised the fans. She got in the ring and introduced herself to everyone, but Asuka refused to shake her hand.
Rousey didn’t say anything, but she pointed at the WrestleMania sign several times.
She then made her way to the commentary table and shook Stephanie McMahon’s hand.
Everyone looked confused, but Rousey continued to smile as she made her way back up the ramp.
At this point her opponent is unknown, but it looks like the long rumored WrestleMania match for Ronda Rousey is finally going to happen this year.
Michael Cole told fans that news would be breaking on social media as the show went off the air, and ESPN is now reporting that Rousey has signed a full time contract with the company.
”This is my life now,” Rousey told ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne. “First priority on my timeline for the next several years. This is not a smash-and-grab; this is not a publicity stunt. When I first met with Triple H, I told him, ‘There are other things I can do with my time that’ll make way more money, but I won’t enjoy nearly as much.’”
